Tortured Soul – is a collection of poetry written during my youth focusing on experiences and events taken place in that time. I wish to say that this collection embarks on a journey of acceptance or understanding. Instead, it deals with violence, abuse, sex, loss and at times, love. It begins in my preteen years when the world began to expose itself for what it was. Then finishes in my teen and young adult years when the occupants of the world exposed themselves too.  Now, nearly fifteen years later and compelled to share these experiences for the first time, I hope that my words will reach others. Through others, I hope to answer questions I’ve longed to answer for myself. “Am I being, the way I am because of these encounters? Or am I being, the way I am because this is who I am meant to be? How can we be sure that our encounters and experiences are what makes us? Is it not our soul that makes us who we are? Not our experiences?

Before I Say My Vows – Artist and Interior Designer, Nhoell Sandbrook always guarded her heart and mind following a devastating loss a decade ago. After graduating college and starting her own Interior Design company, having Jake Vaughn of Vaughn Incorporated as a first big client was more than she could ask for. When he offered up his client list in exchange for a date, Nhoell couldn’t resist. Months later and now engaged to the international billionaire, living in her own loft atop one of the finest hotels in New York, Nhoell couldn’t wish for anything other than to get away. Getting away means sacrificing the few things she holds dear.
